Boyhood playfulness

This is my first real attempt at portrait retouching. I grabbed this quick candid shot of my son Evin while we were at a park the other day. I really liked the playful look on his face but not the harsh shadows from the bright sun. The white balance was off as well. So I decided to see if some retouching would help the shot stand out.  Please let me know… How did I do?

  1. Though I know NOTHING about photography Rick, I love what you did with the photo. Either way Evin is a good looking young man and I liked the photo anyway.
