I’m not sure what this ape was thinking as he sat in lush grass. It looks like he was contemplating something. And I really liked the position of his hands and their interesting appearance. That’s what caught my attention and caused to fire off a few shots.
Side note: This ape is a Siamang Gibbon, from the forests of Southeast Asia, who now happens to live at the Lowry Park Zoo in Tampa. This species is known for its ability to swing through the trees with speed and agility. Looking at his oversized hands and fingers, perfect for gripping, it’s easy to see why.
